Question Posted Thursday September 25 2008, 3:24 am

Ok, I have an HP Laptop with Vista installed. Now when I search for songs (any) on LimeWire nothing appears. Also when I try and download songs from free mp3 sites just half of the song downloads. Is there a problem with my laptop or is it just something else. PS-I can dowload other files normally (like games and stuff). Do you know anywhere I can get free mp3s from? Thanx a bunch.

Try connecting to another network and then downloading. If that doesn't work, try downloading through another browser such as Firefox. If that also doesn't work, try downloading from another website - this whole problem may be coming from the website you're trying to download from. If the problem keeps going on even in other sites, than I suggest that you reinstall the operational system and if you actually decide to do that, you might want to directly downgrade to Windows XP because the fact that you have Vista may also be the problem (trust me, you'll save a lot of grief, rarely anyone likes Vista, google some of the discussions on it and you'll see what I'm talking about).
