HollyHandsome answered Saturday February 27 2010, 1:29 pm: Hickeys are tough since they are pretty much bruises right under the skin. If it happened within the last half hour you can apply ice (wrapped in something) with pressure for a while. Then you can apply a wet heat to it (so something like a hot washcloth) with some pressure as well. This will help remove swelling. After that you can massage it and try to loosen it up as much as possible. That's about all you can do, though. I'm sorry. Once the damage is done your only options are make up (applying concealer that is one shade lighter than your skin colour) and wearing things to cover it up (scarves, hoodies). Hickeys just need time to heal and they can't exactly be gone in a matter of minutes. Good luck! [ HollyHandsome's advice column | Ask HollyHandsome A Question ]
