Songs about Change.

Question Posted Friday September 12 2008, 4:41 pm

Okay, for my english class we had to read "The Martian Chronicles" over the summer. As a project in relation to this book, we are making a sort of TV show/Radio show, about a certain part of the book.

My group's part is about the following:
+ People from Earth began heading to Mars to build towns.
+ Trees and plants were planted in order to produce oxygen.
+ Changing the names of the Martian towns/mountains/oceans.

I was thinking anything that has to do with destructive change.

If anyone has an idea for a song that has to do with any of these, it would be greatly appreciated.

That's pretty destructive on a personal level. Great video too, my favorite of all time.

You can try using a song from the band System of a Down, but you have to be careful as some of their songs have sexual innuendos and curse words. But a few songs in particular are good, such as Science by them, which talks about how science isn't helping our world.

Thats the only band I can think of whose songs deal with destructive change... Sadly I don't have the time to look up anything or try to think of more, but they are a good band to use for the subject.
