i have a problem...i ALWAYS cry. i can cry whenever i want too. i just think cry, and i start crying. sometimes i cry when i'm not even sad, and i don't want too. it's actually really embarassing. idk why, i told my mom about this and she told me that something must be wrong and that i must be sad about something, because i told her that sometimes i started crying when i wasn't even sad. i think it's just like a stress release for me, but i'm ALWAYS stressed, and there's no way to change that, so it's really annoying. i mean i HAVE kind of been sad lately, but i've felt like this my whole life, and although i've always been an easy crier, i never cryed for no reason like i do now. i can make myself cry whenever i want, and sometimes i just feel like crying, even when nothing in particular is wrong. if something tiny goes wrong, i'll start crying. i don't know what to do! it's really embarassing, because people think i'm a baby, but i'm like um i don't even know why i'm crying right now i'm not even upset. like i'ts really embarassing, can someone please help me and tell me what to do to make myself stop crying? is there anything i can do physically or emotionally? and has this happened to anyone else before?
Here's an idea for you:
Next time you feel like crying, stop yourself. Don't just stop and sit there, that will be ineffective and most likely do nothing at all to help you. Do something else instead. Do you have a journal? If not, start one right away. It's such a good way to let out everything you're feeling and to say everything you want to say. It's really effective in helping with stress and emotional problems. I highly suggest starting a journal and whenever you feel like crying, start writing.
Along with starting a journal, I think you should stick with the idea of doing something else. If you feel like crying, do for a bike ride, read a book, put on some music, bake a cake, take pictures, something, ANYTHING, that makes you feel good. Do you have a hobby? For me, it's running or photography. Whenever I'm really down or upset, I'll go for a run or go out in my backyard and snap some pictures. Find a hobby that makes you feel GOOD, and stick with it.
Now, along with the journal/hobby, I think you should talk to somebody. Talk to you mom about WHAT is bothering you, not just the fact that something IS bothering you. You can talk to a sibling, an aunt or uncle, a school counselor, or any trusted adult. Sometimes, talking about your feelings is all it takes to keep them under control.

i can also cry when i command myself too & yes if something little happens i do cry it feels like theres no way to keep it in. Dont beat yourself up over it tho. I mean what helps me is when i feel the tears coming i just look up for a while & it goes away,or i tell myself dont cry dont cry its okay & then i dont cry unless its really bad. im sorry i really dont know what else to tell you besides that your not the only one :]] [ dulce8nina's advice column | Ask dulce8nina A Question ]
