Well I used to straighten my hair a lot but it got damaged pretty badly. So I was wondering, I've seen some things out there and they look like brushes. Are those like hair straighteners? Or are they something else? And where could I get one for not a lot of money?
(Sorry, I wasn't sure what category this would go under.)
heybbylovee answered Thursday August 28 2008, 1:38 pm: they're like brushes that look like hair straighteners. i have one, but honestly, in order for it to work, you have to use it with a blowdrier. like you know when you go to a hairdresser and they use a round brush & blowdry it? it's the same thing, except with a "straightening" brush.
i bought mine from pathmark. but you can buy it pretty much anywhere. shoprite, pathmark, walmart, kmart. places like thatt :) and it wasn't expensive at all, definitely less than $10.
my suggestion would be to not buy it because...
1.) your hair will get damaged still because you need to blowdry your hair in order for it to look good while using the hair straightener.
2.) it takes forever to do. it takes like 30-40 minutes and i have pretty straight hair!
3.) if i were you, i'd just wear my hair curly or let it airdry. don't even bother straightening it. if you have "too much hair" then get it layered & shorter. it's easier to maintain and less dead at the ends. [ heybbylovee's advice column | Ask heybbylovee A Question ]
