I have a "Helen of Troy" flat and it works fantastic on my hair. I strongly advise it. But you still have to give it a few minutes to heat up on turbo. But it might depend on your hair but if you are curious, mine is thick and sort of wavy but not much.
I'd say give it a shot.

never heard of it, hasn't gotten good ratings on that site, wouldn't waste my money.
buy a chi straightener -- it'll be worth the money. i've had mine for over 4 years and it still works like a charm. i use it every day or every other day. trust me. it's better than spending $35 on a shitty one that breaks down after a year.
