I missed my period, so at first i thought i was pregnant, but i took a pregnacy test last night. The result was negative. Are there other reasons that i could have missed my period? Or was the test just wrong?
I've looked up early signs of preganancy, and the only symptom i have, is not getting my period, so i really have no idea.
anything advice would be great.
thanks.
This being said, it could take weeks to actually become pregnant after one sexual encounter. It could be that you were so early into pregnancy that your body had not produce enough of the hCG hormone yet.
Purchase another few home pregnancy tests and test yourself occassionally if your period does not come. Some home pregnancy tests are better than others. According to a couple of studies done, First Response and Early Result Pregnancy Test are the two best kinds to purchase because they are slightly more sensitive than the others. You may want to pick up a couple of those for home usage.
Sometimes the hormone is simply not strong enough in your body to be picked up by home pregnancy tests. I had a friend that took many pregnancy tests throughout her pregnancy (yes, even as far as 8 months into it) and ALL of them showed up negative.
So, your best bet is to make an appointment at your doctor's office for a pregnancy test. Those are the only pregnancy tests truly accurate enough to tell early into pregnancy anyway. Go on and call for an appointment so they can fit you in soon so you'll know for sure what the answer is. You can take another home pregnancy test while waiting on the appointment.

just to be sure...but those arent
allways 100% so if you really wanna
know try goin to the doctors or a
clinic...but im guessin ur a teen
so teens nvr have the periods on track
one month it can be late the next it
can be early so dont really worry...
but if you still havent had ur period in
21 days i would reccomend a doctor
or a gyno if you have one [ Mizz-AdviceGurl's advice column | Ask Mizz-AdviceGurl A Question ]

Secondly, your period will fluctuate wildly until you hit your early-mid 20s (And in some cases, not even then). You won't be completely "regular" with your periods for a while.
