itunes & mp3 storage

Question Posted Thursday August 21 2008, 7:33 pm

some help with itunes..

is there a way to store your songs other than on your computer or an external hard drive? like somewhere online? probably not because itunes asks you what folder youre keeping your music in, right?

also

is it possible to connect your ipod to a new computer and update it with songs your friend has on their computer w/o erasing the songs you already have on yours?

Well, when you plug in your iPod, make sure it says ''Allow Disk Use''
Then plug your iPod into the other computer. iTunes will open up and ask you if you want to sync the library. Choose 'No'.
Then go Start > My Computer > namehere's iPod
Double click on your iPod name.
Back to iTunes. Choose the songs you want on your iPod (Hold down Ctrl and click on the songs) When you've selected all the songs you want, press Ctrl + C.
Go to your iPod file that you opened up on My Computer and paste the songs there (Ctrl + V)

Now when you go back to your computer open up your iPod from My Computer and copy the songs from there to iTunes, then delete from the iPod folder in My computer.
There you go.

If it doesn't make sense, tell my in my inbox and I'll try to explain better.
:)
