Well, I think I have OCD but I am really not sure and I have never been diagnosed with it. However, Not all the time but sometimes little things drive me up a wall exspecially if I'm cleaning. If I notice dust in my room I will clean it right away and then I will stare around my room for a good hour looking for dust and then the next thing I know I'll be going insane cleaning every corner of my room! and I hate public bathrooms ewwwww! Ugh.. Are these normal things? Or Is it possible I have OCD? and how would I know I have OCD?
iloveaar answered Wednesday August 20 2008, 2:19 am: you need to go to a psychtrist but is VERY likely you've got an OCD , my brother does too. buy hey at least yours is not THAT bad, whats wrong with being extrmly clean? well my brother washes his hands for like 10 minutes! and brushes his teeth for a long time but hes not that clean as you, hes more obsessed with other things that cant be focus on the right direction, at least your problem is with cleaning which as far as i know its not a bad thing, you know like the kind of people who are obssess with work and they get straight a's and stuff hahaha thats like a "good" OCD at least one of the "good "ones considering the other kinds...theres an ocd center you should try to read something there (look for the page on google type OCD centre) also theres like a little test to see if your probably to have an ocd. good luck with that i know my parents would love my brother to ahve the kind of ocd where people's extremly organized but unftnly not , [ iloveaar's advice column | Ask iloveaar A Question ]

You may just have an obsession with being clean, which can be, but is not necesarily OCD. From what you've told us, there is no real indication of OCD. Everyone hates public bathrooms, so thats not a sign nor a symptom.
ask yourself these questions:
Does it take over my life?
Does it prevent me from doing everyday activities?
if so then theres a possibility, but only a psychiatrist can diagnose you.
