i have known this kid for most of my life. he has a brother my age and another brother who plays sports with my younger brother. my whole life he has kinda just been there and i guess i would consiter him an acquaintance. but now that i'm older, i started to realise that i really like this boy a lot and i have for a long time. my problem is thats he is 18 and i am 15. so i dont really know how to appproach him. usually i have no problem approaching boys but generally i go for the rocker guy. this boy is a full on athlete. so i dont know how to really make small talk with him. i also tend to get really shy around him for some reason. i really want to at least go on one date with him but i'm not sure how to ask out a guy who is older than me that i dont know all that well... help me!

Sambam answered Saturday August 16 2008, 6:56 pm: This is one thing that every girl goes through. I have felt this and I know what worked for me. If you don't think you have anything in common with this guy, start hanging out with him as if he were a close friend. You may find somethings in common. If you find that you really do like him, start to flirt a little and see if there is a change in the way he acts. If he flirts a little back, he likes you too. Become more flirty until you feel super comfortable around him. You will know what to do next, you can ask him out or he will ask you out. Good Luck and tell me how everything works out!
