Hi all :]
Well I'm about to be a junior and I play volleyball and want to be involved in other extracurricular activites as well. In the midst of that, I also have AP classes and am preparing for the SATs and AP tests in spring 2009. I was just wondering if anyone has anyone advice for me on how I can balance my schoolwork with my other hectic activites and still manage to acheive straight A's, a great SAT score, and 5s on all of my AP tests. I'm trying to read up before the school year starts so I'll be prepared-any other advice?

Sambam answered Saturday August 16 2008, 6:43 pm: I know how you feel, I also do sports and like to keep up the good grades. So here is the advice that should work for you. It is very good that you have AP classes and that you are thinking ahead for SATs. Doing school work after practice is a good idea but sometimes your mind can still be focused on Volleyball and you are unable to concentrate. Set up a study group with friends to help you concentrate on your studies. Although you would like to keep up with the straight As and still be a great athlete, it is really hard. Don't get too upset if your grades don't stay as high as you would like them. That could really stress you out and not help with academics or athletics. I know you can maintain those two important things in your life if you try. Good Luck and hope to see your questions at my column later on. [ Sambam's advice column | Ask Sambam A Question ]
