I love listening to Metallica, Pink Floyd, Guns n Roses, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins. Do you know any more bands that sound similar to them? Any suggestions would help thank you.

Well, it depends on what era of Metallica you listen to. The 80s or 90s/today? Probably the latter. That's too bad. So yea, you're probably more into hard rock than metal.
A Perfect Circle, Tool (progressive metal but not insanely heavy), Peach, Interpol, Nada Surf, Kyuss, etc.

I listen to these guys too... and there are some bands I could name... especially for the Smashing Pumpkins. She Wants Revenge is one of my favorites, Elefant or Interpol... there are tons.
I have a better idea though. Pandora.com is internet radio, but what you do is put in bands you like the system pulls up bands that sound similar. So you put in Interpol and more than likely you'll end up with Smashing Pumpkins and She Wants Revenge. You put in Nirvana you'll get probably some Puddle of Mudd and grungy type music. Same thing with the others. It's really a neat device and it's faster than waiting for responses on here.
