There's a guy that I've had my eye on. He's a drum major in my band...
Problem is, I've only "kinda sorta" known him for the past 2 years, and I haven't started liking him til now. I want him to notice because I think we might have a chance at something, but I don't know how to go about it without making it obvious. So far I say hi to him like every day when I see him- but he's always so busy since he's drum major and all. So we've never actually had a true conversation, just little bits and pieces of one. How do I get him to notice me?? He gets a lot of attention being in the position he is, so how can I make myself stand out without looking desparate? :)

It will make you seem confident, NOT desperate, and worst thing that could happen he says no. It won't kill anyone. The best thing to do is ALWAYS be straight up. Be confident and just let him know what your thinking. [ 0xymoron's advice column | Ask 0xymoron A Question ]
