ok im wanting to dye my hair a chocolate brown color, and my natural hair color is a redish brown... and it costs alot to get it done at a beauty salon like $60!
how much does it cost for the dye it yourself kits you can buy at stores?
and how often would i have to re-dye it?
and does it even work????

-The person under me is correct; you do have to wait about 3 months. But,to make the hair color last longer, rinse your hair with a lemon based solution right after you dye it. Doing this will make the hair color stronger.
-I'm sure it'll work!, especially because dying your hair darker is a lot easier than going lighter, so you should be fine :) [ vivalajam0x's advice column | Ask vivalajam0x A Question ]

You would have to re-dye it about once every three months. But really that is just the norm, if your hair grows fast you'll have to dye the roots before that, but if your hair grows slow and you don't wash it everyday you might be able to go longer than that.
And yes they do work, but it just depends on the color your hair is now with how light or dark it will come out. [ jean_nicole's advice column | Ask jean_nicole A Question ]
