i got all four of mine pulled a while back, and i was in horrible pain too. i was triple dosing the vicodin and it was still hurting. dont go od-ing on the vicodin though, i have a high tolerance to medication, and self medicating can be very dangerous, especially on a narcotic like vicodin. you should call your oral surgeon and ask if it would be ok to take two pills instead of one. basically, i just had to bear the pain, it only hurts this bad for a day or so, with some mild pain the next couple days. also, be really carefull with food, i got some stuck in one of my stitches and they had to reopen it. that was not fun at all. ]
I had all four taken out about 2 and a half weeks ago. Luckily I felt no pain. Although I'd love to attribute this to taking perfect care of myself, I think I just have lucky genetics. I'll share what my oral surgeon instructed me during my pre-op:
Typically it takes four days maximum for the pain to go away. If it's painful to the point where you cannot function, you may consider calling your oral surgeon. You may be able to take a dosage of two vicodin instead of just one.
Make sure you're taking care of yourself. Avoid the sucking motion and be tender with your mouth. Tomorrow, you'll want to rinse your mouth with salt water.
Also, ice helps. Try icing one side of your face for 20 minutes and then the other for 20 minutes, and repeat as desired. This helps numb the area as well as minimize the swelling.

I hope your recovery becomes less painful. The tips on the two sites I shared with you should help a fair deal. ]
