When I am on my period I end up having some really bad bathroom problems and I'm trying to figure out why. I'm also curious as to whether or not there are other women that experience the same thing as I do.
I have heard of many women becoming constipated or having diarrhea while on their periods, but this is a whole new bathroom problem (from the same end though). It's pretty extreme.
When I'm on my period, the tiniest bit of stool in me MUST come out right away or I'm in unbearable pain. Sometimes the pain is so much that I honestly think about removing my uterus on the spot, in those painful moments. It's such an immense amount of pain. For reference, my anus nor bowels actually hurt--all of the pain is in my uterus.
I usually GO once a day while I'm not on my period. When I'm on my period I end up going quite a few times--usually AT LEAST 3 times a day, if not more. Like I said, I cannot wait at all, as soon as something is down low enough in my intestines then I'm almost instantly in severe pain. The stool is usually it's normal size, shape, and consistency so there isn't anything that would cause me to believe it was me previously holding too much in or something.
So, my questions are:
Do other women experience this?
Is this healthy?
Do I need to see a doctor about it if it is abnormal?
What in the hell could cause this kind of pain/symptom?!
Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening?
3.) most likely not, unless you start crying from the pain. then maybe you should.
4.) your muscles are very active during your menstrual cycle, so you immediately feel the poo inside of you when it's coming. your body is just trying to get it out ASAP
5.) definitely DO NOT GET CONSTIPATED. it's horrible. eat fiber while on your period, and exercise can not only lighten your menstrual cramps, but make your period go away upto one or two days faster. [ heybbylovee's advice column | Ask heybbylovee A Question ]
