Cloning?

Question Posted Saturday August 9 2008, 11:13 pm

I guess I need more of an answer than I need advice, but here it goes anyway:

What is "cloning" when it comes to chatrooms? And why is it bad?

Sorry if I sound like a noob... And sorry if I made it worse by actually acknowledging the word "noob."

"A procedure that copies the RAM contents (configuration, formats, fonts, pages, and graphics) from the memory of one printer(computer) to the memory of another."
that's google's definition.

like.. taking the memory and all the software from one computer and put it on to another one. it's bad because a lot of the software you usally have to buy, and just by copying it, the company looses a lot of money. i guess it's like.. stealing? kind of.
sorry if that didn't really answer your question, but that's all i really could find.
