Well high school isn't too different from middle school [unless you were home-schooled]. What I do want to stress is the importance of grades. If you are thinking about college in any way then make sure you do take somewhat challenging classes in high school. Also it helps if you take some extracurriculars, not only for college, but also to make friends and have a fun experience. It can be anything: sports, drama, band, cheer, or anything else you might be into. If you don't know what you like yet, then that's okay too. Just don't go around saying stupid things to older people and be nice to everyone. Stay as far as possible from people who like to create drama so that you don't have to deal with those types of problems. But do talk to people and make friends. If you already have friends then hang out with them too but also talk to other people. The thing about being able to choose your classes means that you will get to meet all kinds of people from different grades. Anyways, high school can be great fun or it can be boring and problematic. It really depends on what kind of experience you want to have. I wish you the best of luck this year, and for the 3 years after that! [ iwantthetruth's advice column | Ask iwantthetruth A Question ]
