Well see, I've been smoking since grade 6..
and I've just recently quit and I used to be such a good athlete but that's now faded from smoking..
I was wondering if anyone here can tell me how I can gain more health in my body because I'd like to bring my dream and be more athletic..
I'm going into grade 9 and I didnt smoke that much until grade 8 and I would really like some help.
Additionally, just as WonderlustWeirdness stated, it causes major health deterioration that must be overcome! So you need to see a doctor and have your health and your physical athletic pursuits be analyzed. There are breathing tests to determine just how much the smoking has harmed your oxygen-acquiring ability.

Try buying some gum, cinnomin, try the patch etc. Everytime you feel an urge for the ciggerette try going for a walk. Try avoiding people who do smoke by occupying yourself with something you love to do. Try working out, Go for a walk 3 times around the block. If you can do it without running out of breath then try speed walking, Then try jogging. etc Start off small steps and build your way up.
WonderlustWeirdness answered Friday August 8 2008, 9:06 pm: Wow! I'm sure glad you quit!!!
Smoking permanently destroys the tiny cillia that bring impurities out of the lungs. It also can scar the air-sacks that bring oxygen into the blood! I hope you have not yet developed cancer!!!
Well, you took the first right step by stopping smoking! I understand that after a couple years you will be able to recover, so how long have you stopped smoking? Use of ANY tobacco product is bad for anyone's health!
See a doctor and see a sports trainer! The doctor can advise you on your health and the sports trainer can advise you on recovery with your doctor's recommendation.
