when i apply foundation with a damp sponge, wont the ponge suck in the foundation and itll get wasted!



is a foundation brush a good option also?

No, it's actually the opposite. When you put foundation right on a makeup sponge, it has a tendency to suck it up. When it already has water it in, there's less room for it to suck up the foundation. Using it damp saves you foundation and gives you a dewy, more natural finish.

A foundation brush works well too, for more sheer coverage, you do have to blend with your fingers afterwards. If you're going to get that, get the kind of foundation that comes with a built in brush, like Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Liquid (it's a new product so I couldn't find a link).
