Dreams Predicting Events

Question Posted Friday August 1 2008, 9:01 pm

17/f

I don't believe that my dreams can predict what will happen, but I am slightly concerned right now. The night before last I had a dream about death then had many 'signs' of death occuring yesterday. I spoke to my friend about it telling her how weird it seemed. Just now I found all of the baby birds and their mother that live in my carport dead.

I think these situations are unrelated. However, should I be worried? Last Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights I had very clear dreams about terrorist attacks on the HSBC Celebration of Light (fireworks) in Vancouver. I do not usually remember my dreams but I did when I woke up in the mornings last week on those three days.

I plan on going to these fireworks tomorrow night. I shouldn't take my dream too seriously, right? As of now I still plan on going but after the death of the birds I am wondering if I should stay home.

If your conciounse (excuse my spelling) tells you not to go then......don't go. Listen to your first mind because most of the time it's God and He's trying to protect.

I think its a coincidence. Don't take it too seriously. Have you been thinking about death or something similar for the past few days? If so, then that could explain why you keep having these dreams. Thats how I am. Whenever I think about stuff like that, I end up dreaming about it. Maybe you have some stuff to work out too. Just don't take this too seriously. I think you'll be fine. Good luck!

Wow, that's odd. I used to have strange occurances that would seem a lot like what I'd dreamed about, but after a while it seemed more like coincidences than anything else. Was the death of the birds an impending thing that you could have otherwise seen clearly? Even if not, it COULD be a very ironic thing that happened. Perhaps you wouldn't have even noticed these things on other days if it weren't for the dream. It COULD be the case that you're pointing out things you'd normally not notice because of a certain circumstance? I can't be completely sure on that, really.

I personally don't think you should worry all that much. It could just be that you're worrying and thinking more about your dreams, so they're reoccuring and seem so detailed. I'm sure there's at least decent security in Vancouver.

If you believe in dreams predicting things AT ALL, you could also consider that certain parts of dreams don't always represent exactly what they seem to be. I used to have a Book of Dreams that had lists of objects/scenarios and that they actually represented. For example, I think explosions meant lots of impending emotion, or something like that. A terrorist attack could represent something else, perhaps?

I'd say if you really want to see these fireworks, go for it! I'm sure everything's going to be alright. It's probably coincidence that this point, with all of the dreams, but that's just my opinoin since I don't necessairly believe in Psychic activity to an extent.

It's okay to follow your gut, and even your dreams, but make sure they're not holding you back and making you miss out on things because you're worried!

XOXO
KAT!
