I have some questions about AIM and I was wondering if anyone could explain them to me. xD
1. How do you link 2 or more accounts together?
2. If you're talking to a person on one of your screen names, and then you block them, do all your accounts block that person or is it just for that account?
3. If you block someone (which makes you appear offline) or you sign off or set yourself to invisible, will all your screen names sign off at the same time, or will they just sign off one by one?
4. Is there a way to set yourself to private if you don't want anyone else seeing you on their friends list? Like for example, if someone adds you to their buddy list and you don't have them on yours, they can still see you online. (so that kinda sucks if you blocked one person and they had another account to see if you were online or not.)
5. I'm just curious, have you ever blocked anyone or has anyone blocked you? Because my friend signed off but I guess she obviously forgot I had another and she's online ;[ that makes me sad cause she might be annoyed at me, but I'm not gonna bother her about it. It's like she doesn't wanna talk to me, but she'd want to talk to her other friends. (if she blocked me or something) So has this ever happened to anybody xP (I'm not sure if she's set on invisible....)

1. edit > settings > buddy list > manage linked screenames
2. just that account
3. blocking as above only affects one account. if you click the little eye, that will just make that account go invisible, if you click available, one of the options there is go invisible, another is "apply to all accounts" which is checked by default
4. edit > settings > privacy > allow only users on my buddy list
5. yeah ive blocked a couple people, and been blocked by a couple people. a couple of those times were temporary when i guess the person just wanted some time alone and i tend to be pretty talkative
6. yes, if theyve blocked one account, it wont affect how your other accounts see them
7. no idea... i dont think thats true...
8. i dont think you can see people's status messages if they are offline, and you appear as offline if you are invisible or have blocked someone.
