getting fonts from pictures

Question Posted Wednesday July 23 2008, 4:03 pm

It starts out with this... I needed to find a specific picture of a logo that said something but I only found a logo with something close enough. so i was wondering if there was a program somewhere where it let me change what the logo said but keep the font?

or if that is not possible, if i can somehow get the font name from a picture so i can type in whatever i want?

thanks

normally if you save the piture, then open a "Paint" document on your computer, then go to

file.

open.

the pick the picture, you want.

then you click 'view' at the top, then click text toolbar

then the font that the piture is in should be said right there.

sorry if thats confusingg lol

No, that's not possible. It's also not possible to automatically identify the font. You can use this site to help identify it, but it doesn't have any obscure fonts:

You might be better off finding the image behind the text.
