i was watching "you are what you eat" and it mentioned something about a woman who ate a lot of sugar and yeast and how that might connect to itching "down there". is this true?
Unless you read this in a reliable medical book or website I'd be wary of how much I believed it. For all we know, it could be the logic "Oh, well everyone who gets ear infections eats food. Food must cause ear infections!" Know what I mean?
Plus, it's possible that the woman in question was allergic to something she was eating a lot of, leading to a rash that could cause her to itch EVERYWHERE.
Anyway, if you actually have a yeast infection treat it with over the counter medication. If that doesn't help, see a doctor, because it could be something else.
Vegalicious21 answered Tuesday July 15 2008, 10:31 pm: yes. you can get a yeast infection, which causes itching, if you eat alot of sugar or yeast. You can get yeast other places on your body (but im not sure how that works...) but it can cause a yeast infection in your vagina. [ Vegalicious21's advice column | Ask Vegalicious21 A Question ]
