I know that when I am very upset, I just want to be left alone. Do you think that you have given your friend enough time and space? I hate to tell you this but the word "sorry" is said so much these days that it has almost become meaningless. People usually don't respond when someone tells them they are sorry over and over again because they have already heard it many times before in past conflicts/problems.

The best thing you can do is give your friend TIME and SPACE. I would also avoid contact with her ex. Do something for your friend that shows you are sorry. For example, a card, scrapbook of all the good times you guys had together, etc.

Good luck!
