I just got my tounge pierced 2 days ago. I was told that I need to keep the long barbell that they put in for a month, and I will then be able to replace it with a shorter barbell. However, I've tried to see if I am able to unscrew the barbell ball on my own but I've been unsuccessful in doing that. My friend told me that in time it will loosen so that I will be able to, but I am not sure. In a month, will I be able to take it out on my own or will I have to go back to the place for them to remove it for me? Should I got back to the place now and tell them of my difficulties?
Thanks in advance for the help..
also, tongue rings are obviously gonna be slick because it's in your mouth. if you dont go back to the place, try to find some latex gloves. they let you get a grip on the ball rather than your fingers and usually the ball will then twist right off. I tried everything to unscrew that ring, and I just couldn't get it. I then later realized that on that particular ring, you had to unscrew the bottom ball and not the top. I'm not sure if that's the same with you, but maybe give it a try?
