At the top of my Facebook profile my network has my high school name but the wrong class year. When I try to edit my birth year it won't let me change that and I can't figure out how to get my network to have my high school name with the correct year I will graduate.
However, if you have already graduated (or even if you're in the class of 2008 but your school year hasn't finished yet), there isn't anything you can do to change your class year to the right one, because Facebook only allows current high school students to join high school networks.
Short of starting a petition to request Facebook to allow alumni to join high school networks, there isn't much that can be done.
If you really don't want the incorrect year on your profile, you can just leave the network altogether, but keep in mind that once you no longer have access to your high school email, you will not even be able to join the network with an incorrect class year. If you do want the correct information on your profile, click the "edit" link next to "Profile" at the top of any Facebook page, and add the information under the "Education" tab. Cux answered Tuesday July 8 2008, 9:44 pm: Facebook has pretty much gotten rid of the Networks.
But you still might be able to try this:
You can change your primary network by going to the "Networks" tab of the Account page. Simply click on the "Make Primary" link to the right of the network that you want to identify yourself with the most.
