Hi, I'm going for a job interview this week for the first time! It's only at a grocery store, so it's not at a big place, and I am 16. I was just wondering what kind of questions the interviewer will ask, what I should bring with me, etc.
Well, always stay confident, or at least, always make it seem like you're confident. Always have a smile on your face, but not a creepy one ;].
When you first walk into the interview, shake the interviewer's hand, and introduce yourself, though I'm sure they already know your name from their papers.
Answer the questions thoroughly; don't answer with just yes or no, unless that's appropriate.
Never be rude or say mean things to the person, though I doubt you would do that ;].
Be professional. Don't use slang terms or words which won't be understood by the interviewer. Even if they are your age, don't use teenage slang =].
When you're done, THANK the person for their time. They have taken time out of their day to graciously interview you, so let them know you appreciate that.
Always keep eye contact, and stay focused. But relax! You'll do fine =].

I would bring a purse (if you are a girl) and put a pen and note pad in it just incase. Good luck! [ Smashvolley14's advice column | Ask Smashvolley14 A Question ]
