my friends dad

Question Posted Thursday July 3 2008, 3:35 pm

Hi um...
My friend.. Bill.. his dad and his dads girlfriend just broke up and Bill's wicked upset. His family has like no money and his real parents are divorced. I know its really none of my business but I wanna cheer him up. I don't really see him but we can IM and e-mail. What should I do? Anything will help. Thanks.

Well... it's difficult when you can't see each other to do things. Let him know you are there for him if he wants or eneds to talk. Let him know your phone is always on, you're always checking your e-mail etc... so he knows you are there for him. You could send him a nice card in the mail to cheer him up, or a care package with his favorite cookies, chips, and candy, or other things he would like. Both would be a nice surprise. Whatever you do make sure he knows you care and are there for him, that's what is most important.
