Cartilage Pierced

Question Posted Sunday June 29 2008, 12:48 pm

My mom told me to use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol and clean my new piercing but i've been reading piercing&tattoo's websites and their aftercare tips and they say to use dial soap and warm water. Should I listen to my mom or them?

use the sea salt solution that person below me was talking about or go to claires or piercing padoga or any piercing place and ask to buy a bottle of their piercing cleaner.

Neither. Rubbing alcohol dries out the piercing. Dial soap clogs the piercing up.
ALL you need is salt and water. (use a q tip, yes)

"Make your sea salt solution - A teaspoon sea salt per 8oz (one cup) of distilled warm water- in a clean glass or receptacle."

my advice would be to follow what the shop that you got it done said. they've been doing them for a long time (assuming) and they know their stuff. They know exacly what to do, so ask them. they may even sell there own branded product.
