how would you know if it is real and no t a joke?!?

Like the person below said, you can never really know whether it is real or not.
If your question is how to contact someone on YouTube then you can go to "Account" then when the menu drops down you pick "Contacts" and then "Compose". Then you enter the username of the person you want to contact and write a message and then send it.

As far as knowing if something is real or not you never know. After all this is the internet and people prank all the time. You can try contacting someone from the email box or just typing in there name where you would look for videos however if someone doesn't have a video posted then there name might not show up in search.
