What are some clever ways to trick a boy into telling him he likes you without you telling him you like him?

Besides what the person below me said, sometimes you can direct the conversation towards people he likes. But it's hard to be subtle about basically asking "So, Ryan, any new crushes lately? I know a couple girls who have their eye on you" or something similar. Sometimes you've got to be specific.
