Young, naïve, and curious

Question Posted Saturday June 28 2008, 8:47 pm

I'm 16/f never had a boyfriend, never been kissed, the whole nine yards. "Every woman has that certain quality that makes them attractive to men." I happen to think this is a load of bull and is true to a degree of how you look. It's annoying when you just want to get to know a guy and they ignore you because how you look. I understand that the first part of attraction is mainly appearance but what if you don't have looks? How do you try to ask a guy if he wants to get to know you when in this world if you don't have "it" then you aren't worth the time?

-Lon

I definitely agree with the one who answered below me. Let me tell you, I didn't have a boyfriend till I was 17. Just this year, actually. I think I have a great personality, but I don't really have the looks. I make friends with people (guys and girls alike) by drawing them in with my personality, rather than anything else.

If the guys you want to get to know don't want to give you the time of day just because of how you look, then that's bull. You shouldn't even think about liking those kinds of guys because guys should like/love you for who you are, not the way you look. Never think that you aren't worth his time. You can stand on your own. You don't need to have whatever the hell "it" is coz i don't even know what that is.

Don't try looking for a guy. Just be yourself, make friends with everyone and carry on from there. I have to warn you, though, that there will be a lot of hurt involved. I liked a guy before, and I was so great with him. A lot of people thought we'd be a nice couple. He liked me, but he didn't like my looks, though. I was so devastated when he said he didn't like me, but honestly, there are no regrets. I have the guy I want now and he is truly sweet, nice and loves every bit of me--pretty or not. Just wait for that guy. He will come. And do not settle for just any guy, especially if he is a jerk to you.

its good beacuse it will filter out the jerks. A really nice guy will like you no matter what. Id say maybe you arent looking at the right guys? If you just hang on the right one will find you. Just make yourself available. The one thing boys like more then looks is a great personality. Not every guy will base his decision on looks. If you keep looking , hell find you. Best of luckk!!
