cartlidge piercing

i got my cartlidge pierced about a month ago and its still swollen and sore.

is that normall?
how do i make the swelling go away?

well your supposed to clean it with the stuff you have and try not to sleep on it and maybe ice it but if it looks really bad go to the doctor and if you are thinking of taking it out DONT cuz its hard to put back in for one thing and i didnt take mine out until a year after i got it done its way easier i took it out b4 and almost had to get it reperireced worst feeling ever!

Of course it's normal. Cartilage takes longer to heal. I got a cartilage piercing 3 months ago and mine isn't healed yet.
Just continue to clean it and don't ever touch/play with it. It also helps if you don't sleep on it.
Apply a warm salt water compress to it, 3 times a day for around 10 minutes each time. It works wonders.
If pus is coming out and it's a strange colour (not white), then it could be infected. Don't remove an infected piercing.. clean it as best you can and if it doesn't improve, you'll need antibiotics.
Remember.. cartilage piercings take from anywhere around 3 - 12 months to heal. It just depends on the person.
