What should I get him for his birthday?

Question Posted Friday June 27 2008, 5:58 pm

My boyfriend of 5 months is having his birthday soon, and I'm really not sure what to get him. For my birthday, he got me a really pretty diamond heart bracelet, which I love. I don't have a job, but I hope to have one soon, but I really can't think of a nice gift. I was thinking like a scrapbook of things we've done, but I don't have too many pictures or anything, and I'd also like something he can use, that's thoughtful. Any ideas would be really appreciated!

Hey, okay well for one thing you don't want to get him the wrong gift, so here's what you do. Tell your boyfriend to write down five things he really wants, put them in a hat. Then you close your eyes and pick but don't tell him which one you chose.

Thanks and remember to come back for more advice.

Well, what about some sexy cologne? :) That will benefit both you and your boyfriend. I'm not really sure what your spending limit is but my boyfriend wears Vera Wang cologne and Calvin Klein Man, and they both smell really good. If you're not able to spend that much on cologne, you could always buy him like a couple things of Axe :) ! or...maybe if he wears hats, you could buy him a hat with his favorite team. Another good idea is to buy him something that relates to one of your inside jokes :) I really don't think he'll mind, as long as it's sweet, and he knows you put thought into it :D

This might help you. It was an answer by my friend Ashley [LagunaBabe, on here]:

Valentine's Day
-Gifts for guys
*Watch
*Favorite bands CD or favorite DVD
*Cologne
*Decorate a picture frame, with a picture of the two of you

Christmas
-Gifts for guys
*Cologne
*Make a mixed cd for your guy
*If he's into sports, get him some memorabilia of some sort.

Birthday
-Gifts for guys
*Watch
*Cologne
*CD or DVD
*Anything that he's been saying that he wants for a long time

P.S. For anniversaries, you can take a look throughout all of these. They're all good gifts for any meaningful day, really.

My favorite suggestion is this, and it's something my sister did for her 1 year with her boyfriend. She made a scrapbook of the year they had with pictures and stuff. Though that took more time than it appears you have. They also went out on a picnic, and she made all the food. They went swimming and just had a nice time =].
