My friend babysat my dog for the weekend while I was gone. During this, he smoked weeedd and my dog was in the room. It's a pomeranian (which if you don't know is a verryyy small dog -- she weighs four pounds), and she got high from the smoke in the room. Then they blew it into her ear, which got her high.
Now do NOT say this is a myth, because I saw a video and the dog was acting so wierd. This wass like four days ago, but she still seems a little wierd and off, and is acting differently then before.
So whats the deal? Is she going to be ok?
I'm extremely worried.
Thank you for any help I can get.
pinkpolkadots answered Wednesday June 25 2008, 3:19 am: I have a Miniature Pinscher who weighs 10 lbs, so he's pretty small too. When my friends used to come over and smoke, him and my other dog (a 50 lb Border Collie) used to come in the garage all the time with us. And my bigger dog used to seem normal afterwards, like she always acts, I think just the fact that she's bigger. But my little dog used to get really calm and tired after where-as he's usually really high energy and hyper. I don't know if it causes any long term damage but it worried me so I don't let them in the garage anymore and my dog always fine now. The last time he came in was a few months ago.
She'll probably be fine, then again she's even smaller than my dog. I would just watch her closely for a few more days and if she's still acting like that then I would take her to the vet. I definately don't suggest letting them get her high again though. [ pinkpolkadots's advice column | Ask pinkpolkadots A Question ]
