I'm 15 and female, i live on an island and feel i have a really great life and great friends. But for some reason i just have days where i feel so down and less than 100%.
This has been going on since the start of this year and i can't explain it. Usually i am enthusiastic and optimistic about pretty much everything, but, though i haven't changed alot, i've just been having moments where i feel so tired and useless and can't take a joke :(
is this just a normal phase that teenages go through? or is there something that could explain it?
i feel i have drifted from my childhood friends, and someone who i'm close to (like a boyfrined) is going of to uni after the summer. could this be to blame?
i know my friends shouldn't have to put up with me when 'm down and crabit, and i feel terrible when i've been snappy.

Significant changes such as drifting from friends or losing people you care about can definitly cause feelings of sadness or just not being happy.
Maybe a girls night out could fix it, or maybe it would just be a temporary solution.
Worst case scenario (that I can think of) is that maybe you're clinically depressed. I'm no doctor, and there is probably a 1% chance of you finding a doctor on this website. My point is, don't take my word for it. It's just a guess. But, you seem to be in a bit of a slump and don't really know how you got there. You could probably google 'depression' and see what comes up. I suggest seeing a doctor/psychiatrist if the Sometimes there just isn't a reason for us being upset. But, if it's happening more times than not, I'd see someone about it.
I understand you're only 15, so you would have to discuss this with a parent (which I also understand can be rather awkward), but it's something you should do if this continues. Remember, your parents love you and just want to see you healthy and happy. If speaking with a psychiatrist is something that might be able to help your mood, then you should look into it.
