What you have to remember is that you will only be able to stop if thats what you truly want to do. Your body has become use to the pain... Try taking up a sport, or working out a lot, or dance. All of those allow you to really push yourself, so your muscles will be sore, and you have that pain that you are use to, but instead of it being destructive, this is being constructive.
When you are feeling and getting that urge to cut, try to keep yourself busy. Make plans with friends. You might want to even establish a friend, that when you get that urge to cut, you can call them, say a certain word or phrase so they know that you have that urge, without actually talking about it, and they can either talk to you on the phone, or come over to hang out with you. Anything to keep you distracted, until the urge passes over.
I hope that this has helped you some. If you have anymore questions feel free to email me.
