I think that the best thing to do to achieve an "edgy" look (though i dont like that word because its sooo cliche) is to really just embrace your individualism. Acessorize, thrift shops can be an immense help, old jewelry, vintage t's and sweaters, its all about mixing the old w.the new, with the right accessories. But you have to bring a part of you into it.. or it will never fully fit your personality.. so hit up a thrift shop, and get to work on your new style! :] best of luck!

okay so you'll want to avoid really dark gothic places like hot topic because then people will think you're emo. some really cute stores are Zumiez and Pacsun because they both have pretty edgy stuff that preppy at the same like. it's mostly skate and surf clothes if you're into that. they're also not really expensive which is a good thing =]
