thick curly hair.

Question Posted Wednesday June 4 2008, 4:05 pm

I have thick, kind of curlyish or wavyish hair. I'm getting it cut up to my shoulders, and I was wondering if thinning it out would make it less wavy? thanks

I have the exact same hair type. Thinning it out wont reduce the curls but it will help make the management easier. NEVER get layers though. It will be a complete disaster. I did that once and it was awful. One day when you aren't planning on going out wash your hair and put some gel in your hand and scrunch your hair. Our hair type makes this style look amazing.

No, thinning it out will just do exactly what is says (make it thinner).
It will be easier to manage, though.
I have curly, thick hair and get it thinned out to stop it becoming so bushy and heavy.
