abstract_profanity answered Tuesday June 3 2008, 11:36 am: Yes, that is a canker sore. Canker sores are little open sores found inside the mouth.
Canker sores don't need treatment to go away. They will go away on their own. Usually a few days to a week or so. But there are some things you can do to prevent irritation and pain.

I usually wait it out and they go away, but if you are in a lot of pain try taking some advil every four to six hours. They will go away on their own.
