Is this incredibly cheesy?

Question Posted Sunday June 1 2008, 4:54 pm

Well, since it's the end of my sophomore year and a lot of people are moving away to different schools and whatnot..I decided to write each best best friend a letter describing all the memories and good times/bad times we had this year. It's a really touching letter and I don't know how some of my friends will respond. Should I do it? To show how much I care?
Also..do you think it would be a bad idea to do this for an ex boyfriend that I still care about? (he cares for me too.) but I don't know if it would be the right thing to do and I definitely wouldn't know what to say. But I wanna show him that if there's a chance, we could try again next year (we broke up less than a month ago).
Thank you in advance :))

I think you should do it. If I got a letter from me, I would be so happy and thankful I even knew you!!! And if you and your ex have a chance on being with each other again, why not go for it? I am sure he would be happy and suprised to get a letter from you also!!

Honestly, I think that would be a very sweet and touching thing to do, even if you're not close friends with that person. I know I would be very touched to receive such a letter, even from an acquaintance. As for your ex-boyfriend, I think if something naturally comes to you, then you should write him a letter, however, if you feel that you are just gasping for any ideas or things to say, then don't write it, because the letter will end up forced and a bit fake.
