Don't they normally give you a book to read?
Eh, well I'm taking AP Lang next year myself and they told us to read Francis Bacon's essays from the book of essays Of Empire. We also have to read an article called "Something About English" by Paul Roberts.
I think they want something nonfiction and philosophic. E-mail your teacher or the head of the dep and see if that's okay.
