boys

Question Posted Saturday May 24 2008, 12:47 am

boys again, the most common confusing topic of all. anyways. so my friend has a friend thats really cute. and i want to talk to him and see if things will work out, but i have a few big problems. number one, i am PAINFULLY shy when it comes to guys that i find attractive. number two, he's a senior, and he gets out of school in two weeks. number three, he's always stoned at school when i see him. i think thats it. on the plus side, i pretty much have all summer because my friend&i already talked it over and we're gonna hang out a lot over summer hopefully. so here comes the most confusing part. i'll tell my friend (who is a guy) about the guy i think is cute. like i'll just be like aw hes cute. and stuff like that at random. and then he makes situations for me where me&his friend are within the same area. so basically, he's been trying to help hook us up. kind of. but then, sometimes, especially lately since after me&his friend actually met, it seems like hes trying to avoid me, and not wanting me to come around. he's also been telling me to get his friend off my mind, and i don't know what this could mean? i guess i'm just asking for perspectives and what i should do. i hope this isn't too confusing. thankss!!

yeah...thanks for the brain cramp. :)

anyways, it sounds to me like your friend is a bit jealous, which is common when it comes to girl-guy friendships.(i would know, im dating my best friend. :)) or maybe hes trying to protect you from his friend. because if hes always stoned, that means hes a drug addict. and thats not good. no, its not any good at all. so maybe hes telling you to get him off your mind because hes implying "your my friend and i dont want you to get hurt by this druggie jackass friend of mine," idk, im just guessing.

about the shyness thing? just try to think of it in one of these ways: boys are just really pretty humans. :) and when i say pretty, i mean GORGEOUS. and if that doesnt work, just try to imagine that the really cute guy is stressing over the same shyness problem. just picture him in his room, pacing back and forth, mumbling to himself "oh my God, oh my God. man, what do i say to her? how would i ask her out? what do i do? man, why am i so shy!?" i hope i helped, and i hope it works out for you.

*TIP* if you and druggie DO start dating, get him to quit the drugs. because honestly, id think every girl would have better judgement of that. :) but yeah, take care!

Listen to me with this one. I have had friends with the same problem liking a senior who is graduating in a couple of weeks. Trust me just let him go, let him graduate and move on. You will find someone next year, almost guaranteed if you keep looking.
