I wouldn't do it. It's mostly alcohol so you might end up smelling weird, and alcohol dries out your skin and hair.
Try Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace, smells amazing.

i suggest you go out to 'Bath and Body Works' at the mall and buy these few products that make you smell like vanilla.

Organic Vanilla Bean Foaming Body Wash
Vanilla Coconut (hand loton)
Warm Vanilla Sugar (bubble bath)
Warm Vanilla Sugar (creamy body wash)
Warm Vanilla Sugar (body wash)

they have a lot more on the Bath And Body Works website. here is the link.

Vanilla extract was very popular as a perfume in earlier days, commonly put behind the ear, on the neck, near, or even in the cleavage, (depending how daring a women wanted to be with her date). Not sure if it was used in hair, I would test it on a small amount at the end of your hair first, so you can cut it if you have too.
