Generally, it could be anywhere from a few months to about two years. It all depends on the person, their diet, lifestyle, ect. There's no telling when you'll get yours.
I'd say try talking to your Mom, or a female in you family (blood-related), and see when they got theirs (a tad awkward, but it's helpful), because it will help you in knowing whether you'll be getting it later or earlier on in life!

If a girl/woman does not shave body hair it does not stop or delay the period from coming. A period does not have anything to do with what a woman goes through monthly.
