i have been at my school for some time now and i have always put others before myself. my friend that has just moved here is really nice, but since she has been here alot of my friends have been spending more time with here than with me. i really dont mean to be jalous, but i cant help it. and it seems like all my friends are kid of becoming more distant to me. sometimes i feel that i have to be someone else in order to really talk to them. i am leaving soon but i dont want to tell anyone because i dont want them to start being all close to me bacause of that. what should i do?

True friends will not favour someone else above you just because they are new. When you settle into your new school you may well meet your very best friend for life there and you could possibly see this situation from another point of view. You will be the new girl and all the others will be interested in who you are and what you are like. Please tell your friends you are moving so that when you do go you do not feel let down and disappointed with their lack of friendship towards the end. You have no need to be jealous of this new girl, she will be feeling what you will be feeling soon - lost and a little lonely until you make friends. I wish you all the very best in your new life. Take care. [ Elcee's advice column | Ask Elcee A Question ]
