acne medication i just started perscription acne antibiotics a few days ago. how long after you begin taking it will you see results? esp. on chest, shoulders, and back. how long after i start use utill it will be totally clear? thank you!

Well, when I did that a few years ago, I started noticing an improvment after a few weeks. At first your acne might actually get worse [but only for a few days so don't worry]
As long as you're a teenager, you'll never be "totally clear". But you'll have wicked good skin after a few months or so. Everyone's different. But regardless, it'll be an awesome feeling to have your acne under control with just the occassional breakout- trust me!
Anyway, your doctor will probably take you off the antibiotic after a certain amount of time, because it's bad to be on them if you don't have to be. He might switch you to a topical antibiotic like clindamycin if he deems it necessary.
Just as a side note, if you use spot treatments, use them everywhere you have acne. It won't do a thing for your shoulders if you're only applying it to your face.
