thank you cards

im writing a thank you card to my cousin and his girlfriend. they got me these earrings (they are college kids so it wasnt anything AMAZING)also i wanna thank them for coming to the little party cause it is always nice to see them. i also wanna say that im excited for this summer so we can get together and go on my grandparents boat and go to vermont (where they live) cause we had fun last summer.

i just wanna write it so it doesnt sound corny...

how about

"Hey, How are you?
Just wanted to thank you for the gift (loved it) and for coming over.
See you this summer (it should be fun)."

being short and sweet should do it. Also using everyday words would make it seem normal and not corney.

You just wrote it if you look above. "Thanks for coming to my party and for the gift. It's always nice to see you. I'm excited about this summer so we can get together at our grandparent's on their boat in Vermont because we had a lot of fun last summer.

Beyond that you don't need to say or put anything else unless you want to clutter it up which you don't. They aren't going to be judging your writing anyways. They'll just appreciate the sentiment and proper etiquette in sending them a thank you note.
