ok so i kick but a track but county is tomorrow and i need a better time in the 800m rite now it 2:51 but i need better ne advie

i run track too! and i run the 800! sweet =]
and that was pretty much my time too!
i always started out sprinting soooooo fast the first 300 meters and then i'd be winded the rest of the race. so its best to start out fast but not really really super fast. you want to get a good start and then pace yourself. when i run i always have a goal in mind. and usually it was just to get in front of the person in front of me. and i always give it 120% the last 100 meters. that is one of the most important parts.
